In 1983 Charlie and Joan moved back to Alaska. Their plan was to start a remote fishing lodge. That didn’t work out, but they did start and operate a successful bed and breakfast – Hospitality Plus – in Anchorage.

Getting Started in America
Charlie arrived in the United States in November of 1956. He lived in Cleveland, Ohio for five years, then in Seattle, Washington until early 1964. While in Seattle, he met and married Joan.
